What is VOCES?

VOCES is a research collective that is dedicated to addressing health and social disparities in our community. As a part of Rice University’s department of Psychological Sciences, our mission is to conduct health research, inform policy, and undertake intervention and advocacy efforts that promote health equity for all.

Our interdisciplinary team of researchers, students and community partners work together to identify the root cause of health disparities and develop solutions to reduce them. With a focus on underserved communities, our work spans a range of health issues including chronic illness and mental health.
