A Cognitive Biobehavioral Approach to the Study of Health Risk and Resilience Among Latino Immigrants Varying in Immigration Status

This project aims to fill knowledge gaps about the effects of trauma on the health and cognitive functioning of immigrants varying in immigration status. This project is guided by a biobehavioral approach and stress coping models to identify potential modifiable pathways underlying health risk in this immigrant population. We aim to characterize the concurrent relationship between traumatic stress, health and cognitive functioning among Latino immigrants as well as identifying factors and resources that can improve the health and cognitive functioning of this population.
